Dr. Wangyu is an ophthalmologist at LaserVue Eye Center specializing in cataract and refractive surgery. She is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Her unique path to medicine combines a background in finance and technology with a deep-seated passion for patient care.

After receiving her economics degree from Yale University and beginning a career in investment banking, a desire for a more direct and personal impact on people’s lives drove her to pursue medicine. She earned her M.D. from New York University (NYU) Grossman School of Medicine, consistently ranked among the nation’s top three medical schools.

During her training, Dr. Wangyu discovered a passion for ophthalmology, drawn to the constant technological advancements that help patients see more clearly and safely than ever before. To pursue this passion, she completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Colorado, a program renowned for its clinical excellence and high surgical volume.
