With DSLT, your surgeon uses advanced image-guided technology to deliver laser treatment directly to the trabecular meshwork (the natural drainage tissue of the eye) without the need for a handheld contact lens or manual aiming.
DSLT is a first-line treatment for glaucoma performed without touching the eye and without requiring any pressure-inducing contact lens. In about three seconds, DSLT can quickly and comfortably lower your intraocular pressure, with results similar to traditional SLT.

What is Voyager™ DSLT?
DSLT stands for Direct Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty. It is a laser therapy designed to revitalize your eye’s natural drainage system.
In open-angle glaucoma, the eye’s fluid drain, called the trabecular meshwork, becomes clogged, causing pressure to build up and damage the optic nerve. DSLT uses gentle laser energy to stimulate a natural healing response in the meshwork. This treatment clears the blockage and allows fluid to flow freely again.
How is DSLT different from traditional SLT?
While traditional SLT is effective, it requires the doctor to place a gel-coated contact lens directly on your eye and manually aim the laser.
