As the first practice in Northern California to offer the Zeiss VisuMax Femtosecond Laser, Visx Star S4 excimer laser, WaveLight Allegretto excimer laser, and the Intralase FS60 femtosecond laser, we are committed to providing only the safest and most advanced technology for the benefit of our patients’ vision. We strongly believe that our patients deserve a variety of options so we find and use the ideal technology to suit their individual needs. No single laser can provide the best outcome for every patient. With several different all-laser LASIK platforms onsite, our San Francisco Bay Area vision centers,\ will have the technology available and the experience necessary to offer you the best solution for your unique vision needs.
LaserVue’s Advanced LASIK Technology
Innovations in technology have streamlined the custom LASIK procedure. New LASIK technology provides more precise results through comprehensive digital mapping of the eye that documents aberrations and corneal irregularities that may have impeded a patient’s vision or reduced the efficacy of laser eye surgery in the past. Modern lasers track and scan the cornea to deliver consistent and effective results. These technological advances have also opened laser eye surgery to patients who would not have been considered good candidates in the past, including those with thin corneas, corneal scarring, and other corneal abnormalities. LASIK eye surgery is faster, more precise, and safer than ever before.
At LaserVue Eye Center, we combine precise surgical skill with the most current laser technology available, a combination necessary to obtaining the desired results for your refractive treatment. All of our lasers are FDA approved, allowing us to treat our patients with uncompromising safety.
Multiple Laser Technologies Available
LaserVue Eye Center is proud to offer the most advanced options in laser vision correction today with both iLASIK and WaveLight EX500 technologies allowing many of our patients vision beyond 20/20! Few LASIK centers have more than one technology available. No one laser is ideal for all patients: we will customize your treatment with the ideal laser to obtain the best visual results for you. Our premium, no compromise approach has led us to choose these laser technologies. Every treatment is customized to the patient’s individual refraction and visual goals by LaserVue Eye Center doctors.
Advanced Wavefront LASIK Laser Eye Surgery Technology
The iLASIK procedure provides an unprecedented level of precision and accuracy. The procedure leverages the combination of Blade-Free flap creation and Wavefront LASIK technology to ensure safer and more precise results for our LASIK Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Santa Rosa patients.
More Precise Measurements: The Wavefront LASIK system provides high-resolution data enabling the treatment of both higher- and lower-order aberrations with extremely high success rates, delivering a potentially superior vision correction alternative to glasses and contact lenses for eligible laser vision correction candidates.
Low to Moderate Myopia: In clinical studies, 100 percent of patients treated for low to moderate myopia could pass a driving test without glasses or contact lenses, and 98 percent had 20/20 vision or better one year after treatment.
High Myopia: Only 2.2 percent of eyes in the high myopia clinical trial required re-treatment.
Clearer Night Vision: For all indications submitted to the FDA, satisfaction with night vision improved after the Wavefront LASIK procedure.
Intralase Blade-Free (All Laser) LASIK Laser Eye Surgery Technology
By replacing the blade commonly used for corneal flap creation with a femtosecond laser, the blade-free IntraLase femtosecond laser has made LASIK eye surgery much safer than ever before. This laser delivers micron-level accuracy much greater than a blade for more accurate and consistent flap thickness — which is critical for a successful outcome for our LASIK Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose and Santa Rosa patients.
LASIK has become a trusted way for people to improve their functional vision. This technology increases precision, enhances LASIK safety, and results in superior visual outcomes and better quality of vision for our San Francisco Bay area LASIK patients.
STAR S4 IR Excimer LASIK Laser Eye Surgery Technology
From the WaveScan System to the STAR S4 IR Laser: Wavefront-Guided LASIK combines the wavefront measurements with the actual laser vision correction treatment thus enabling the treatment of both higher- and lower-order aberrations with extremely high success rates, delivering a potentially superior vision correction alternative to glasses and contact lenses for eligible laser vision correction candidates.
Alcon WaveLight EX500 Allegretto Excimer LASIK Laser Eye Surgery Technology
The WaveLight Allegretto Wave® Excimer Laser was designed based on an ideal that was once only an imagination: a system with shortened surgery times, innovative and reliable eye tracking and a clear ergonomic concept.
What are the benefits the WaveLight EX500 provides?
Quicker treatment — featuring a 500hz speed, the EX500 is America’s fastest excimer laser. Faster speed means the potential for more accuracy and a quicker overall treatment. .
More accurate treatment — that the EX500 is outfitted with a multi-dimensional eye tracker that calibrates the position of your eye over 500 times a second, leading to the most consistent treatment possible.
A broader range of treatment — that the EX500 has one of the widest treatment ranges accessible for even the highest degrees of hyperopia, myopia, and astigmatism. Even if you’ve been told you aren’t a candidate for LASIK in the past, the EX500 could be a treatment choice for you.
What exactly does this all add up to? Better visual outcomes.
The most exciting aspect of the WaveLight EX 5000 is that it can perform topography guided correction, known as Contoura Vision! Contoura Vision allows even more customization of the treatment using the corneal mapping data unique to each cornea. This level of customization has improved the likelihood of achieving better than 20/20 vision and is intended to provide vision quality not attainable with glasses or contact lenses. The doctors at LaserVue Eye Center will be happy to discuss this further during a complimentary consultation.
LaserVue’s Diagnostic Technology
