After my procedure with Dr. Bansal, my cataracts were gone and my eyesight was nearly perfect. I no longer need glasses for reading OR distance. It was truly miraculous.

I have worn glasses since I was 11 months old and then contact lenses over the years, and I finally am able to have RLE surgery [PanOptix Pro]. I had my second eye done a week ago, and my vision is incredible. I wake up in the morning and no longer have to reach for glasses. So it's been life changing, it's been great. I was worried about the halos and things that I've read online about other lenses, but I luckily have not had any of those issues, so it's been great. When I first went to the doctor not being able to see, I think I was 7 or 8. I just wanted to have no glasses. Surgery went well - A little interesting at first, didn't know what to think, but it went really well. Dr. Bansal and [staff] are talking to you the whole time. It's exciting that I'm able to just wake up now and I can see everything! Really cool. I would say go for it. it could be a little daunting at first, but I think once you actually get in here and speak to everybody you'll really enjoy it. Especially not having to wear glasses or contacts.

I just had my follow-up for my second cataract procedure, which was yesterday. My first one was about a month ago. I am one day post-surgery and seeing 20/20. That may not be so for everybody, but these are spectacular results. This has been an extraordinarily wonderful experience. From soup to nuts, Dr. Bansal's staff, procedures, technical advantage with equipment, is absolutely first-rate. Could not be better. If you are considering any type of eye needs Dr. Jay Bansal is the one to go to. I was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes the beginning of the year... Within a short period of time I could not longer see more than a fog and could not drive, this was ruining my quality of life. I called my eye doctor and asked for a referral for cataract surgery. She gave me Dr. Jay Bansal's number. I was able to get the first appointment in less than two weeks, the pre-op surgery appointment and the first surgery 10 days later, the following surgery 7 days later. I was very excited coming into this. I got very nervous on the day of my procedure but everyone, including the lady at the desk, was extremely nice and made me feel at ease. My biggest amazement was how fast the actual surgery took and the only pain I felt was some slight pressure in the beginning. About an hour after the surgery I felt a little burning but the Valium kicked in and after my nap, I felt nothing. The next day was fabulous--I could see! My LASIK procedure was in September of 1999 and it has been the most liberating event for me. My vision without glasses was count fingers at three feet(I could not even read the big "E" on the chart) before LASIK. On the day of the surgery, everyone was so supportive, and during the procedure, Dr. Bansal would tell me what was happening so I knew where to look and what to expect. The actual laser time was just seconds per eye....INCREDIBLE! When I sat up after, I could actually see the faces in the room with me and read the clock on the wall! The very next day I was able to read the 20/20 line on the chart! I was wearing bifocals prior to my procedure; so I knew that reading glasses would be needed afterwards. But they make fun readers and you do not need them all the time. It truly is amazing to drive, watch a movie, and see the alarm clock all without glasses!

My experience with LaserVue has been so wonderful. I had a great treatment and the way they had counseled me through the procedure made it all a very simple and calming experience. I was a bit apprehensive at first because I didn't know exactly what to expect but because they had explained and broken down the procedure step-by-step, I immediately gained confidence with the center and staff there. Now that I had my surgery, it is truly amazing how quickly I noticed my results. I'm very, very happy.

My experience with the LASIK process has been great! I was fairly nervous about the surgery, but it only took 5-10 minutes and the doctors kept me very calm. I experienced only an hour of pain after the surgery, but it was mainly due to the Valium not having had its desired effect in time. The first week after surgery I was unable to wear make-up and anything that got in my eye was irritating. As long as I kept using eye drops my irritation/dryness in my eyes did not exist. It took a month for my vision to totally stabilize. Overall, the benefit has outweighed the slightly uncomfortable healing process. The only thing I stress is to always use eyedrops when the doctors recommend them! They will help out immensely!

It was probably one of the best things I've ever done. I was a little surprised by how easy the surgery was and how little pain there was. Immediately after the surgery, things were a little fuzzy but within a day or two things became much better. You may get a little bit of glare from lights right after the surgery but all that went away, as I have been told by my doctors before the surgery. I'm glad that I did this.
