Question: How Long After LASIK Should I Wait Before Applying Makeup or Using Products Such As Latisse?
Answer: We generally advise patients to wait at least a week after LASIK before they begin applying makeup or other eye products such as Latisse. Some patients feel more comfortable waiting a little longer and may wait as long as 2 weeks.
The eye heals very rapidly and infection are rare for LASIK surgery in general. Most patients cease using antibiotics about a week following LASIK surgery since the cornea is resistive to bacteria by that point.
